Nokia XL is third mobile in the Nokia’s X series of Android Smartphone. Recently at the Mobile World Congress 2014 held in Barcelona Nokia launched its first ever Android phone Nokia X, followed by Nokia XL on the next Monday. Nokia XL is the high end version of Nokia X and X+. You will have to wait to get your hands on Nokia XL. It is due to hit the market in April 2014.

Now talking about the phone, it has got decent features with 5 inch display and 768MB RAM giving competition to other phones in the market. You can enjoy good gaming experience with larger display and free games offered by Nokia. As talked in the earlier post on Nokia X+, Nokia XL also has open source Android. In fact, all the phones in X series don’t have Google apps.

Nokia XL is developed under Android Open Source Project which is a free version of Android OS that does not require any permission from Google. This makes users free to download copy of Android and add their own features in the OS. But on the other side, they can’t provide services that require Google’s permission like Youtube, Google Play Store, Gmail. Nokia has replaced them with their own set of services like “Here Maps” replaces “Google Maps” and “Microsoft cloud” replacing Google cloud. Apps can be downloaded from Nokia’s version of the Google Play Store. So, basically every service is been developed.
